Overview
A selection of Durham Region farms opened their properties to the public for this annual two-day event. Visitors were invited to take self-guided tours of the farms which featured demonstrations, food prepared by local chefs, music and fun. Restaurants and bed & breakfasts also offered local food on their menus during this weekend event.
Goal
In addition to enhancing the relationships between business operators and producers, the event showcased regional farms and culinary delights to promote the agricultural community and the bounty it produces.
