Overview
Canada Day The Durham Way was a region-wide online Canada Day event. Residents were invited to join an uplifting, virtual celebration of the Durham Region community. Roughly 6,000 people watched the 3-hour Facebook Live event that was organized by staff in all eight municipalities with support from Durham Tourism.
Goal
I was asked to brand the event by designing a logo and a marketing material toolkit that could be used for promotional and event-day videos, a social media campaign and web page content. The animated logo was tailored to the digital space and the custom illustrations further enriched the brand’s fun visual language.
